James Bonney is a musician, composer and recording producer/engineer. He has performed as a guitarist for the Tanglewood Contemporary Music Festival, the Bowdoin Summer Music Festival, the Cleveland Composer's Guild, the Access to the Arts Foundation, MaDaCol, the Empire Brass and the Cleveland Museum of Art Musart series. His most recent compositions have been "Still Arctic Shift" for choreographer Frankie Hart, "RUHE: Last Dance for the Cleveland Chamber Symphony and "is" for the New Music Associates at Cleveland State University. James graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Music in 1994 with a double degree in Classical Guitar Performance and Audio Recording Technology. He worked at Telarc Records for three years as an editor, technical assistant and assistant producer. He recently relocated to New York City in order to work as a freelance recording engineer and focus more on his music goals.
