Lorain Jeffery, a Cleveland native, grew up performing with Cleveland's Primavera Dancers. She then went on to receive her bachelor's of art degrees in dance and psychology in 1987 from Denison University in Granville, Ohio and her teacher certification in elementary education in 1991 from Capital University in Columbus.

Lorain is a former member of the Stuart Pimsler Dance Theater in Columbus, and she also has performed with Vicki Uris, Susan Van Pelt and Frankie Hart.

Lorain resides in University Heights, Ohio and works as a learning disabilities teacher in Solon, Ohio. She also keeps busy by training for triathlons.
